KIRINYAGA UNIVERSITY FACULTY DR. DICKSON MWENDA KINYUA AWARDED ERASMUS+ KA171 RESEARCH GRANT

Dr. Dickson Mwenda Kinyua a faculty at the department of Pure and Applied Sciences has been awarded Erasmus+ KA171 (Call 2025) research grant.  The grant will facilitate academic exchange that will involve two (2) Kirinyaga University faculty to undertake a one-week academic engagement at the University of Naples Federico II and one-week visit to Kirinyaga University by Prof. Raffaele Velotta, Head of the Biosensor Group at the Department of Physics at the University of Naples, Italy. During his stay, he will conduct a series of interactive seminars and training sessions for our faculty and postgraduate students.

SINGAPORE FINTECH FESTIVAL 2025

Dr. David Kabata, a faculty at the School of Business and Education has been invited to attend Singapore Fintech Festival 2025 scheduled for November 3 -14, 2025 in Singapore.  Dr. Kabata is a co-founder of a financial innovation named Opesha that has been selected to represent Kenya and Africa at the Singapore Fintech Festival 2025.  Dr. Kabata and his team are scheduled to take part in the one-week global Fintech hackathon and subsequently participate in the grand pitching competition of investors scheduled for November 12-14, 2025 in Singapore.
