PROGRAMMES

Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design and Textile Technology

The programme aims at providing learners with creativity and innovative skills necessary to cope with the changing demand in the field of fashion industry and accessorizing.

Entry requirement

- K.C.S.E mean grade C+ (Plus) and above with C (Plain) in one Science subject (Chemistry, Biology or Physics) or one Art subject (Home Science, History, Geography).
               OR    
- KACE Certificate with minimum of two principal passes and one subsidiary pass or its equivalent and at least Division III in KCE with a pass either one Science (Chemistry, Biology or Physics) or one Art subject (Home Science, History, Geography).
        OR
- Diploma in Fashion Design or its equivalent with minimum C (plain) mean grade at KCSE.
    OR
- Candidates who hold Higher National Diploma in Fashion Design or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
OR
- Any other qualification recognized by the University Senate.

Duration

8 semesters on campus training and a minimum of 8 weeks attachment in a relevant institution. Career Opportunities

Diploma in Fashion Design and Textile Technology

The programme is designed to provide trainees with creativity and innovative skills in the field of Apparel and Textile industry.

Entry requirement

•    Mean grade of C (plain) in K.C.S.E.
OR
•    Mean grade of C- (minus) in K.C.S.E. with a certificate in Fashion Design Technology.
OR
•    Any other relevant Certificate from institutions recognized by the University senate
Duration
2 years on campus training and a minimum of 8 weeks attachment in a relevant institution.
